Learn to Sail at Sidmouth S. C.

We are an RYA Recognised Training Centre. Our RYA training courses are run by trained volunteers in boats owned by the Club.

Our programme

Our programme is designed to take you from novice to active member of the Club:

  • Push The Boat Out: experience being on the water on our open day;
  • RYA Courses for adults and children: learn to take the helm and handle the boat for yourself;
  • Go Sailing (for Club members): build your confidence at these informal sessions.
  • Go Racing (for Club members): to develop confident sailors into confident club racers.

Our training fleet includes Toppers, RS Fevas, RS Qubas and an RS Vision. Safety boat cover is provided during all of our dourses and taster sessions. We have some sailing kit and buoyancy aids that can be borrowed if required.
